Zuzalu Wiki

Zuzalu is an organization co-founded by Vitalik Buterin whose mission is to foster a global network of communities to advance humanity by creating playgrounds at the intersection of free and open technology, science, health and social innovation.

Zuzalu convened a group in-person for the first time in Montenegro from March 25th to May 25th, 2023. It was comprised of 200 core residents and a rotation of weekly visitors who came together with a shared desire to learn, create, live longer and healthier lives, and build self-sustaining communities.

Zuzalu’s next major popup event was ZuConnect, which took place in Istanbul from October 29th to November 11th, 2023. ZuConnect was a two-week popup village that takes place right before DevConnect, a major Ethereum event. About 300 full time residents participated, with an additional 100+ participants joining for a part of the journey.
